Some questions for you

1) Do you eat artichokes? I mean the big ones, not the marinated "hearts". If so, what do you dip each leaf in?

2) It's a hot day and the pool is rather cool. Do you jump in or go in slow?

3) Has anyone made a recipe yet from this blog? Did anyone go to the hospital afterwards?

Hi,

1- Nope. Only the hearts, but I do love them loads.

2-I know I should jump right in and be brave, but apparently I prefer to simper and moan and slide in inch by inch.

3-Haven't made one yet- but I do have the mushroom soup recipe printed out - it sounded great.

I've always wanted to try artichokes, but cooking them scares me. So no, only the hearts.

2. I hate swimming. But if I were to go in, I'm an inch-by-incher too.

3. Not yet, but I would if the dishes weren't so spicy. Or filled with mushrooms. :-)

1. Yes, I have eaten them, though not recently, because they are a bit of a pain to prepare, and kind of expensive. I dip the leaves in melted butter, maybe with a little bit of garlic.

2. Inch by inch-- I am a wuss.

3. I am going to make the mushroom soup this week. We're going grocery shopping right now, where I will buy the mushrooms to make it. I'm pretty excited.

1. Yep. Melted butter.

2. Jump in all at once. The shock's either going to kill me or it's not. So far, so good.

3. Not yet. Ditto on the too spicey. But I love mushrooms. Will have to add it to my shopping list.

1. Melted butter, yum. Or my aunt used to make a kind of buttery vinaigrette dressing. Also yum.

2. Sloooooow.

3. Not yet and not yet!

I regret to inform you that when we went to the store earlier, there was not one single box of mushrooms left. This can only mean one of two things: either 1) lots of other people are making cream of mushroom soup this week, or 2) it's a sign from the universe that I am not meant to make cream of mushroom soup this week. We'll try again next week...

Not unless someone else cooks them. And only mixed in creamy stuff (like dips) or with pasta.

2) It's a hot day and the pool is rather cool. Do you jump in or go in slow?

Usually slow, but ocassionally jump.

Dude, I rarely cook. See Q. 1 for details.
