Oh, is it this: "It's not race. It's arugula"?

Yes, it's the silly arugula knock that I was making fun of.

FWIW, I do not like arugula, have no idea if Obama actually eats it, know that many supporters of McCain have legitimate reasons to not have supported Obama, and appreciate all of those people as well. Enough disclaimers?

Anyway, I guess the arugula joke isn't as funny as I hoped. I'd been saving up this post for days. :)

Paca - I laughed just because it is a Paca jokes and Paca jokes take a little while to float about before they hit the funny bone.

But then again, I'm still on novacaine and pain medicine so I think I'm still high in general from the election!

LMAO!!! Well, NOW it's funny...

I suspect it was the relative obscurity of the reference (not all of us post lengthy polemics on politics at political science blogs)...but once I got it, I found it amusing.

{I was going for a "a lot of alliteration from anxious anchors placed in powerful posts" moment there...}

FWIW, I do eat arugula. I don't actually buy it at the supermarket (although I could because, you know, we East Coast elitist types have grocery stores that carry that kind of high-falutin' stuff).

Still confused, but defending arugula in small doses. One time I made a whole salad of the stuff, and that's a memorable do-over meal!
