Reading again

Robin has designated today and tomorrow reading time again. While my readings are always better when they involve material I didn't write and, of course, puppets, I have unfortunately followed instructions and read something I wrote a few years back. Not academic. And there's no puppets.

This is right in the middle of a short story, so if there were to be a reader of this, they would know more about the two characters than you do, but I think it pretty much stands up regardless.

It's just an mp3 file.

Truly wonderful. I laughed out loud at the crotchless leather panties.

As you say, I'm sure there's more to the characters than is revealed here, but what is revealed stands up very well.

As for the panties, I saw from Fairyhedgehog's comment that they were coming, but they surprised me nonetheless.

Belt. Yes. Very good.

Sorry, Whirl et al. Should I delete my comment? I didn't mean it to be a spoiler.

This is sweet, and it does a nice job of meandering around the main topic until you finally reveal it. I thought it was going one way, then another, then another, until you got to the "why didn't we?" angle. Very real dialog, I thought. But then, you know a little about speech, don't you?

I thought this worked very well as a stand-alone story.

I agree with freddie. This could well be a stand alone story. Well done!

And hey paca, now that you're about to graduate to become Dr. Paca, just think - you'll have time to write again.

I had /not/ read the comments, since I came over from my Google Reader, so the progression of the leather-crotchless dialogue caught me delightfully off-guard. A very nice piece, paca.

Paca, you don't need the songs and the gadgets, this stood up really well on its own. Your reading was great. I wanted to hear the rest of the story!

ps no girl wants anything to do with another girl's panties.

I enjoyed this. It was a great glimpse into a relationship--and I agree with the others, you don't need the background for it to work perfectly well.

I especially liked your hair descriptions ; )

Songs, gadgets, backgrounds? What did I miss, late to the party as I am?

Quite nice, Paca. It has a very "comfortable" feel to it.
